Bill Romme, Professor emeritus and Research Scientist. I am a a plant ecologist with particular interests in fire ecology and landscape ecology. My principal study areas have included subalpine forests in the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem, forests and grasslands of southwestern Colorado, and semi-arid woodlands and shrublands on the Colorado Plateau. Currently, I work primarily with CSU’s Western Ranch Management and Ecosystem Stewardship program. I especially appreciate and enjoy collaborative interactions with students, land managers, landowners, the general public, and other scientists. I came to CSU as a professor in the Forest and Rangeland Stewardship department in 2001, and moved to NREL in 2012.
