The Colloquium in the Life Sciences is a student organization that hosts weekly seminars during the academic year featuring researchers in the Front Range and across the U.S. Seminars are generally on Mondays, 4:10 NREL Seminars: Watch your e-mail for announcements! GDPE Distinguished Ecologist Series This series consists of student and faculty nominated and invited emminent ecologists in the U.S. and abroad. Guests generally present three seminars during their visit and are available to meet with students. 4-5 speakers are invited during the spring semester and lectures are at 4:10 W,R, F the week of their visit. Many departments on campus host their own weekly seminars and invited speakers including Rangeland Ecosystem Science, Forestry, and Soil and Crop Sciences. GDPE keeps a list of weekly seminar announcements on its web site. Front Range Student Ecology Symposium FRSES is a locally run and organized symposium for graduate and undergraduate students in the Front Range area of Colorado and Wyoming. Held in March, its a lot of fun and a great way to find out what the other students are doing, and to get some presentation experience yourself. |
