The LECO CHN1000 (LECO Corporation, St. Joseph, MI, USA) is a dry combustion carbon and nitrogen analyzer that is a true work horse. Together two technicians keep the LECO running for over 2500 hours per year. Last year NREL scientists analyzed 6000 soil vegetation samples on the LECO . Other CSU scientists from 7 departments and from the Bureau of Land Management analyzed over 9000 samples in the past year. Samples currently be analyzed for $2.30 each for on-campus users and $3.01 for users from other institutions. |
